Sustainable Northwest Wood offers a full line of solid wood surfaces that are inspired, in both design and function, by the old world butcher block countertop. Made from sustainably harvested, local hardwood and softwood species, these solid wood surfaces showcase the color, durability, and beauty of the Pacific Northwest. From kitchen countertops to restaurant tables, fireplace mantels to retail displays, our solid wood surfaces will add interest, warmth, and a wonderful story to your special project. PEOPLE & PLANET From FSC® certified woodlands in southern Washington to the sunny hillside slopes of the Rogue Valley, our region’s many fertile forests provide the lumber for our solid wood surfaces. The mineral content in the soil imbues these woods with rich colors, dramatic veining, and beautiful variation in the grain. We partner with small mills throughout the region to cut and kiln-dry the lumber and manufacture the solid surfaces. Ask us where yours came from -- we can share the story behind each piece.
