Affordable housing projects are uniquely situated to benefit from the application of the Living Building Challenge. A report by the International Living Future Institute, developed through partnership with leading affordable housing developers and practitioners, explores social, regulatory, and financial barriers to achieving the Challenge in affordable housing with an emphasis on the three most challenging Petals (Net Positive Water, Net Positive Energy and Materials). Innovative ideas and actionable strategies for addressing these barriers, as well as pathways to certification in a range of climates are presented. This webinar takes an in-depth look at findings of the report and includes stories and lessons learned from affordable housing projects in North America.
