Reserva Santa Fe
Reserva Santa Fe is a 536 acre biological corridor located between Mexico City and Toluca, Mexico. The remote site has experienced major deforestation and pollution over many decades and has recently experienced pressure from a constant urban expansion. The forest is in need of restoration, supervision and an ongoing management plan. The community will be provided with education on its protection and the use of ecotechnics in order to work hand-in-hand with nature. The vision of the project team is to build housing, a community home, low-impact infrastructure (hanging bridges), recreational facilities, greenhouses and an organic farm with the highest environmental aspirations that foster a culture that protects local traditions and the sense of place.
