Alaina serves as Communications Coordinator at ILFI, where she manages social media platforms, creates marketing collateral, writes for Trim Tab, and assists with getting all manner of communications projects over the finish line. She is fascinated by humans’ relationship to place and space, the intersection of nature and the built environment, and how community design influences happiness and health.
Alaina went south from her hometown of Kettle Falls, WA, to attend Gonzaga University in Spokane. Graduating with a degree in Environmental Studies, she moved to Seattle in 2015 to kick off her career in environmental communications at Conservation Northwest. She began at ILFI in November 2017. In her spare time Alaina enjoys talking to her plants, reading very good books, running, and attempting to either write a novel or knit a wearable pair of socks.
