Hannah works on the Living Community Challenge team where she helps envision new ways of building connective, regenerative communities. Hannah’s role with the Living Community Challenge is to work with project teams to implement a framework that catalyzes the symbiotic relationship between people and the built environment.
Hannah graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the Community Environment and Planning program at the University of Washington. During her time there she studied municipal solid waste systems and behavior change around waste reduction efforts. She lived abroad in Turkey and Italy and worked with schools and communities around environmental education as it pertains to waste. Hannah saw immense opportunity for waste management strategy and started her own company, HumanEco Consulting which specializes in waste reduction planning and zero waste for events and businesses. She currently sits as Co-Chair on the Zero Waste Washington Board of Directors and has a deep passion for people and social change. She believes it takes education and an inclusive, equitable vision for positive change.
In her spare time, she enjoys the mountains with her partner and dog and writing in coffee shops and breweries around the City.
