A problem solver by nature, Parker works within ILFI as the manager for the Living Building Challenge. From providing customer support, to maintaining the Dialogue, to facilitating the certification process, he ensures things run smoothly and efficiently for Living Building Challenge projects.
Parker was born and raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, where he learned to appreciate the outdoors. His knack for all things math and science helped him earn his BS in Engineering from James Madison University. His passion and determination to learn drove him to earn a Master’s in Sustainable Solutions from Arizona State University; his culminating experience was to help design a building concept for the City of Phoenix that aimed to meet Living Building Challenge 3.0 criteria. A little burnt out from the Phoenix sun, Parker and his fiancee moved to the beautiful PNW in search of fulfilling careers. When he’s not pouring his heart into his work, Parker loves to travel, hike, and explore local culinary establishments.
