Technical Researcher at Clean Production Action
Agnes Cheng is a member of the ILFI Material Health Technical Advisory Group. Agnes’s home organization is Clean Production Action, an environmental nonprofit which designs and delivers strategic solutions for green chemicals, sustainable materials, and environmentally preferable products.
Agnes graduated with a degree in Molecular Biology from Brown University and worked with the university’s Office of Sustainability before moving north to Boston. She spent two years at a Massachusetts General Hospital research center, before taking on her current role as Technical Researcher at Clean Production Action. Her work focuses on the GreenScreen for Safer Chemicals method and certification program, the BizNGO Hazard Assessment work, and various projects on the intersection of chemicals and human health.
In her free time Agnes is an avid hiker and amateur botanist, volunteering with the Native Plant Trust to monitor and educate the public on New England plants.
