Brad leads advanced decarbonization efforts nationally for McKinstry’s Energy and Technical Services lines of business, which focus primarily on existing buildings and portfolios. Most recently at McKinstry, he co-led development of the Salt Lake City School District’s Phase One decarbonization project, which will reduce the District’s carbon footprint by 30%. Previously, he led the ILFI’s Energy and Carbon programs 2013-2018, including creation of the Zero Carbon certification. He was also the launch Director of the Living Community Challenge. Brad authored The Power of Zero: Learning from the World’s Leading Net Zero Energy Buildings. From 2008-2012, he developed zHome, the world’s first Zero Energy certified community.
