Sustainability Manager, Houston Zoo
Colley Hodges is an architect, LEED AP, WELL AP, and SITES AP. As sustainability manager at the Houston Zoo, Colley leads the sustainability program for one of the greenest zoos in the country. His efforts include carbon tracking and reduction, sustainable material selection, resource conservation, waste diversion, indoor air quality improvements, and sustainability education. Before joining the Zoo, Colley served as sustainability director for one of the largest architecture firms in Houston, managing the certification of more than 50 projects and 10 million square feet across multiple rating systems. He is a member of the board of directors of AIA Houston and the environmental non-profit Texas Coastal Exchange. He previously served on the USGBC Materials & Resources Technical Advisory Group and the User Advisory Core Committee of the HPDC. In 2021, Colley was recognized as a 40 Under 40 honoree both by the Houston Business Journal and BD+C magazine.
