Don Davies, PE, SE, is President of Magnusson Klemencic Associates (MKA), a 185-person, award-winning structural and civil engineering firm founded in 1920, and headquartered in Seattle.

An industry champion for promoting urban density, sustainable design, and low-carbon construction, Don co-founded the MKA Foundation, the Carbon Leadership Forum, and BuildingTransparency.org. He is a member of the leadership team that created the Embodied Carbon in Construction Calculator (EC3)—a free, open-access database and tool that helps identify building materials containing lower-embodied carbon.

Don serves on the CTBUH Advisory Board and the Executive Board at the International Association for Life-Cycle Civil Engineering. A Senior Fellow of the Design Futures Council and a member of UC Berkley Academy of Distinguished Alumni, Don is a frequent lecturer who has co-authored multiple publications centered on reducing embodied carbon within the built environment.
