Living Future Member since 2017

Esteban Martinez is an architect and civil engineer who runs the third-largest sustainability firm in Latin America, Green Loop. His company has helped certify 30% of all LEED projects in Colombia, and is working towards Colombia’s first Living Building project.

Over the last 15 years, Green Loop has trained over 5,500 individuals in green building practices. Esteban’s ability to translate Living Future principles into actionable strategies has been fundamental in gaining the trust of new stakeholders such as  government bodies, private developers, and financial institutions. He is generous with his time, and has served in many roles supporting Living Future, ranging from being a former Ambassador to leading  member calls and even volunteering at the Living Future Conference. He currently serves Living Future’s Energy+Carbon Technical Advisory Group (TAG).

What is the most important thing the Living Future community can do right now?

“Spread the word. Living Future programs are inspiring, but there’s a lack of knowledge about them in Latin America. We need to educate more people.”
