Architect and Embodied Carbon Research Lead at LMN Architects
Justin Schwartzhoff is an architect and the embodied carbon research lead at LMN Architects. He heads the embodied carbon and mass timber applied research team which researches and promotes the use of emerging carbon reduction strategies and provides LCA guidance to project teams seeking to reduce their total carbon impact.
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Justin graduated with a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Later, he obtained a master’s degree from the University of Washington, while working with UW’s Integrated Design Lab to assess the real-world performance of Living Building projects.
In his personal time, Justin is an avid trail runner, participating in various 25k and 50k races throughout the mountains of the Pacific Northwest.
