Chelsea Duckworth

Specialist, Materials

(she/they)

Chelsea joins the incredible team at the Institute as the new Materials Specialist. Originally introduced to green and sustainable buildings from her time working in the mass timber industry, Chelsea has insight into the client experience in working with the Institute and is excited to elevate the process. While supporting the lifecycle analysis and EPD processes within her previous roles, she learned that there is an increasing need for transparency in the materials and processes used in building the spaces where we live, work, and play.

At the Institute, Chelsea will be supporting the Materials and Impact teams to assist in delivering positive customer experiences and support during the Declare and Living Product Challenge certification processes. Her educational background is diverse, with coursework in urban planning, design, business, communications, and sustainability. She will receive her bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management in 2024 from Lakeland University.

Originally from Orlando, FL, Chelsea now resides in Madison, WI, with her partner and two dogs. In her free time, you can find Chelsea reading, crafting, traveling, and spending time outdoors exploring the hidden beauty of the Midwest.
