Oregon Department of Environmental Quality’s Materials Management Program
Oregon Department of Environmental Quality
Oregon Department of Environmental Quality’s Materials Management (MM) Program takes a holistic view of environmental impacts across the full life cycle of materials, as well as actions that can be taken to reduce those impacts. MM has worked in the built environment space for more than 15 years, standing up a formal Built Environment (BE) program in 2022. The BE program works to reduce embodied carbon and consumption-based emissions, address toxics and health concerns, and to address equity concerns including forced labor through building relationships, influencing policy, research, technical assistance, program development, and incentives. MM staff (listed below) will provide technical assistance to ILFI on materials-based issues.
