Katie Cooper is the Sustainability Specialist for HMTX Industries. Her role focuses on corporate and product transparency for environmental and social topics, including working with such standards and programs as Living Building Challenge, Just, Declare, and the Health Production Declaration (HPD) Open Standard. Katie also serves as an integral member of HMTX’s Impact Reporting Team and plays a pivotal role in enhancing the sustainability of HMTX’s campuses, striving for improvements in waste reduction, recycling, and energy efficiency.

Katie holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia and a Masters in Environmental Policy & Sustainability from the University of Georgia. Previous work in the environmental consulting and laboratory fields have provided Katie with a variety of experiences and lenses that she is able to incorporate into her work in sustainability.
