Precious Rideout

Precious Rideout is the Director of Community Engagement at the Institute for Market Transformation (IMT), leading the overall vision and strategic implementation of inclusive community engagement strategies for more equitable, resilient communities.

Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, Precious graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and counseling; she also holds a certificate in nonprofit management from Georgetown University.

Prior to IMT, Precious supported the D.C. community development sector as a membership, training, and operations director at the Coalition for Nonprofit Housing & Economic Development. She also worked in the U.S. Senate’s Democratic Diversity Initiative Office cultivating relationships between congressional offices and ethnic affinity groups to promote DEIA hiring practices throughout the House and Senate.

In her personal time, Precious serves several community-based organizations and her church. She also enjoys hiking, cycling, sewing, and spoiling her nieces and nephews.
