Call for Proposals: Living Future 2026

For 20 years, the Living Future Conference has been a catalyst for change. As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we invite you to join this pivotal moment and help shape the next century of regenerative design. Your voice is essential. Submit your proposal by September 21st and help lead the change toward a just, healthy, and regenerative built environment.

Designing the Next 100 Years

At Living Future 2026, we’re asking a vital question: What legacy will we leave behind? The choices we make today ripple into tomorrow, and in the face of our most pressing challenges, the built environment has the power to be a regenerative force. This year’s theme, “Designing the Next 100 Years,” challenges us to think with intergenerational purpose and to root innovation in place, justice, and community. If you are building for the future, this is your platform.

 • Radical Climate Action: What would it take to make climate-positive design the baseline for every project?  • Thriving Communities: How do we design buildings that dismantle injustice and nurture belonging and wellbeing?  • Nature as Co-Designer: Must we always trade nature for progress? Or is it time to demand both?  • Catalysts of Transformative Change: What innovations and systemic shifts will rewrite the rules of development?

Who should submit a proposal?

We welcome changemakers across disciplines: architects, engineers, builders, planners, manufacturers, product innovators, academics, policymakers, and advocates. First-time speakers, emerging leaders, and underrepresented voices are especially encouraged. Sessions should be designed to engage, not just inform. Think: brief presentations, interactive design activities, and real audience dialogue. Bring your boldest ideas, unexpected collaborations, and practical tools for transformation.
