This panel, moderated by Justin Wolf—author of Ecotone’s newest publication, HOUSE UP ON THE HILL: The Revolutionary HMTX Headquarters—and comprising three distinguished industry thought leaders, will address how HMTX World HQ, a future Petal-certified Living Building in Norwalk, CT, successfully integrates design within its natural context. Upon its completion in 2022, the building “instantly felt like it belongs on the site.” This was achieved through a unique “lateral” construction sequence, building north to south, which helped restore and preserve the site’s biodiversity and old growth forest. Further, by elevating building blocks above the landscape on piloti columns, it optimized views of the landscape and provided ideal solar exposure for this regenerative project. We hope you can join us for this insightful discussion!
