Aurora Jensen is a Senior Technical Specialist at Brightworks Sustainability in New York, where she specializes in embodied carbon. Aurora helps owners and designers understand and reduce the embodied carbon of their buildings and portfolios through design exploration and procurement. With previous experience in operational energy modeling and passive strategies, she helps clients link operational and embodied carbon considerations, and evaluate trade-offs. Aurora is also involved in Brightworks’ industry-leading work advocating for embodied carbon for Scope 3 reporting to use contractor purchase records and uncertainty estimations to drive data quality.
