Chris Chamberland, PE, is a Principal Civil Engineer at Berkshire Design Group in Northampton, Massachusetts and has been active with ILFI for the last decade as a design consultant on multiple Living Building Challenge Projects, as well as a speaker at Living Future and other ILFI-sponsored events.

After growing up in Western Massachusetts, Chris studied civil engineering at the University of Notre Dame and later at Columbia University in New York before returning to Massachusetts and joining Berkshire Design Group. Since joining Berkshire Design, he has developed innovative net-zero-water systems for multiple Living Building Challenge projects. He has developed designs for dozens of sites that rely on green infrastructure to provide environmentally sensitive stormwater management that safeguards water quality, while reducing impacts and enhancing site aesthetics.

Outside of the office, Chris is an amateur baker, renowned among his circle of friends for his sourdough, baguettes, and challah.
