Jill Maltby-Abbott is a project manager (contractor) supporting GSA’s Center for Emerging Building Technologies (CEBT). CEBT evaluates emerging materials and technologies with broad deployment potential to mitigate GSA’s impact on the natural environment. Jill manages singular and stacked solution deployments prioritizing occupant experience while keeping pace with the rapidly changing nature of materials vetting and follow-through.

Before MIRACORP, Jill consulted on portfolio-scale materials optimization for Fortune 500 clients. She also spent 8 years with a global architecture practice leading sustainability in design and construction.

Her work with materials led to recognition as Metropolis Magazine’s 2022 Rising Star in addition to speaking engagements including the AIA national conference, regional AIA conferences, NeoCon, ASHRAE’s Building Performance Analysis Conference, and specialty panels. With a B Arch from Iowa State University, Jill’s career started in Seattle before relocating to Chicago. Her favorite way to spend time is with her husband and puppy in addition fangirling over Chicago’s arts, culinary, and sustainability scenes.
