Lisa Carey Moore
Director, Buildings
Lisa is the Director of the Buildings Team. In her role, she is the team’s lead for engaging new and existing clients interested in pursuing Living Future’s three leading performance-based building certifications: Zero Energy, Zero Carbon, and Living Building Challenge. She’s also responsible for promoting our registered and certified project work through stories to serve as catalysts for regenerative design across the real estate industry. With an education in political science and environmental studies, she believes everyone can serve as a change agent, no matter how small their role is in bringing a project to reality.
Before joining Living Future, Lisa spent nearly a decade working in the trenches of materials transparency and optimization movement as a Sr. Sustainability Analyst at Materially Better (formerly Integrated Eco Strategy). She also has served as an advocate for estuary protection and implementing watershed protection in the Long Island Sound basin as the Director at Save the Sound and a consultant for the Natural Resources Conservation Service (CT). She has served on various not-for-profit boards and committees, and through these has helped secure chemical bans in consumer and building products, and garnered attention and funding for resource protection and cleanup in rivers and streams in New England. She loves doing almost anything outdoors and traveling to see new places and meet new people.
